This is about as close as I felt safe to get to this Red Deer Stag. This image was one of about seven images taken of this Stag, it was hard deciding which one to post. In the end I settled on this one because I liked his lovely white bottom teeth.
Excellent behavioral image, with great sharpness and excellent use of depth of field. Colors and light are wonderful and the eye contact makes it even more attractive. I am not so sure about the composition, I understand the width of the rack is not small and difficult to fit on a vertical framing, but the action and virtual breath of air seems to me to be needing extra room at the top as well as seeing the base of the neck would have been nice. Overall, it is a very high impact image, that requires technique and patience and certain knowledge of animal behavior. Congratulations!
i see... same happens with some of my stuff. but since i don't get paid for it anyway.. is just don't care. i'm even a little bit flattered that someone would go through the effort of stealing my stuff. so cute.
